Primary responsibility was to work with internal stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive, forward-looking digital campaigns and create new strategies that cross traditional boundaries between press, social media, web, and email.
Developed a template and framework for successful digital campaign management, increasing collaboration between disparate internal stakeholders and ensuring effective, clear communication.
Managed and drafted content for email list of ~100,000, implementing best practices like A/B testing and list segmentation, expanding lists by ~15% year-over-year.
Successfully drafted and executed digital campaign plans for CY2018-2019 state legislative monitoring, 2018 End-Of-Year Giving, and the organization’s “Transform the White House” initiative.

Served as key member of communications team for major national nonprofit, with responsibility for driving response to breaking news items, maintaining the organization’s digital and social media presence, and collaborating with other departments to produce high-quality, web- and social-first communications campaigns.
In collaboration with Operations and Executive departments, developed the organization’s first overarching social & digital media operations and advertising plan, with specific and objective deliverables & ROI goals.
Worked with Outreach & Education department to develop “TRANSform the Vote,” a Get Out the Vote campaign for the 2018 election cycle. This project included a dynamic web presence, engaging social media content, collaboration with volunteer “influencers,” and paid marketing & advertising.
Worked to popularize several high-impact hashtags, including promoting the “#WontBeErased” campaign and hashtag, promoting community involvement and engagement as well as leveraging its popularity as part of major and individual donor projects.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PROVIDENCE HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
As Executive Director of City’s civil rights commission, organized and arranged necessary staff support for monthly Commission meetings and scheduled events, worked with Chair and Vice-Chair to set agendas, draft any necessary documentation (i.e. memoranda and letters), and provided advice & guidance on City policies and procedures as to how they impact social justice and equity.
Significant accomplishments included deepened co-operation with State-level counterparts through drafting & passage of Memoranda of Understanding, drafting & implementation of new City policies creating standardized process for individuals undergoing gender transition, and expansion of the Commission’s mission to act in an outreach and educational capacity.

Worked on volunteer basis as primary media contact for City Councilor in Rhode Island’s second-largest city, including setting up interviews and planning & coordinating public appearances, and drafting press releases for successful election campaign and for the Councilman after assuming office.
Created content for campaign and post-election media, including direct-mail letters and fliers. Created surveys to determine constituent issues and interests.
Served as strategic adviser on policy and constituent relations.
Worked closely with volunteer coordinator to ensure completion of door-to-door canvassing goals, and in partnership with candidate, worked to integrate resident feedback into campaign platform.
